then it could be also just about the numbers of fish as well ......
sometimes it is such that it's rough to keep them off the jig/JIGS you know .......

Usually with my double jig setups it means I lose two jigs to brush instead of one....
they seem to be best under a float most of the time , the constant depth setting keeps the jigs mostly off the cover if you cast well and know where to NOT cast said tandems .....
even open water tandems seem to find stuff to get hung up on , I don't double much , but sometimes when I am not sure and or think they are all thru the water column and have the room to pitch said doubles , then I just might do it ....

When Livescope Flippin' I'm using a double jig rig about 99% of the time. I have doubled up on Crappie twice in the last two years. I've lost my double rig setup a few times, too, but that's mostly due to fishing brushpiles about 99% of the time (and also being the #2 angler in the boat and not always being able to see MY jigs on the screen )
