    Default Hand warmers

This should get interesting. Winter is approaching and thought I would ask for input on Hand Warmers. I bought some 2 years ago, seemed okay, but only lasted maybe 4 hours. Recharge seemed to take all night. I have used Hot Pockets for years. Getting older, and on blood thinners so wet and cold ain't looking forward to.

Any suggestions, quality? Pretty sure the old-timers can relate. Thanks as always Crappie.com folks are the best source.

Zippo makes the catalytic hand warmers that run on lighter fluid. Stuff them in a felt bag to control the amount of air that gets in, which controls the heat. I have a pair of them unopened in the box. I also have several old pairs of the Jon -E ones. I have used them for years. They work very well. Definitely put out the heat

I cant remember the one I got from amazon, but it did real well. Charge time wasn't bad, served as a battery pack if needed. Did well until I let it get wet in a bag of water?

I use rechargeable warmers as well primarily for hunting. I use one at a time inside a hand muff around my waist. I also carry some hot pockets as backup. Sometimes I just use the hand muffs w/o any warmers. Hope this helps…

I got a pair of MUDDY brand ones for Christmas last year. Combo hand warmer, battery pack and flashlight. They work great and battery life is excellent. I can usually make it several sits without a recharge.

I used mine while I minnow fished in cold weather. Now I almost exclusively shoot docks. Can't do that with your hands in your pockets

I remember the old hot pocket chem pack things. If they get too much air running down the lake they’ll about burn a hole through you Hand warmers
