Well just to post something . For the past few weeks I have been unable to get the boat out so I have been going to a local dock/ramp just to get in a little time wetting a line. I have had a little success catching a few smalls so that helps the itch. this past weekend was a very cool blustery weekend but it wasn't the ketchen that made it nice but the folks I met. Saturday a family of four was on the dock and one of the boys. 11 or 12 I think. was fishing for catfish. Now this young fellow hooked a catfish that had to weigh in about 10 lbs. He got it up to the dock and Dad was trying to bring it in. He got it up about half way out of the water and dropped it. he grabbed the line, 6 lb test, and it snapped and the big cat was gone. Needless to sy the young guy was a bit miffed. lol. He finally cooled of and came back to try again. Caught one about 2 lbs. He tried getting it up himself. He had a learning experience. He was a little afraid of the whiskers. He had touched it and it broke away also. He was happy because he tried and had actually touched it himself. I was glad to give him a little lesson on handling catfish and suggested he up size his line. Yesterday during the high and cold winds a couple young guys were catching a lot of the gill that hand around the dock. Was a great day to watch people enjoying the ketchen. . Sometimes the coolest thing (besides the wind) is watching people enjoy themselves
