    Default Caught Some Beauties!

Had a fantastic evening of crappie fishing after work this week. Ended up catching about 24 or 25 decent fish. A mix of white and black crappie.

I was using a 1.5” solid body tube baits in orange and brown color.
Daiwa Presso 5’6 UL rod paired with a Daiwa Revros LT 1000 reel. 2lb. Test Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon line.

Talk about a fun evening! Here are a few photos.

Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Looks like fun! How do you like the daiwa reels? I’m looking at getting one to pair up with the new zman ned rig rod.

I really like them a lot. Depending on the price range you are aiming for, they have some really nice reels. The Regal LT or Legalis are really nice, lots of bearings, smooth action. I also have a Revros LT 1000 and really like it. All 3 of those reels are in the $60-70 range.

I just bought a small Daiwa QZ-750 to add to a micro setup. It’s pretty nice. Lower number of bearings and comparable to a Pflueger Trion 20B in terms of weight and feel.

    Cool thanks for the feedback!

I’m wanting to be picky on my next setup and that sounds like the perfect price range for me for what I like to do. My favorite way to fish is a light to ultralight setup with 4-6 lb mono walking creeks or exploring in the kayak.

I watch a good amount of Richard Gene and he seems to fish with daiwa reels a lot that’s what initially peeked my interest in them. Thanks again for getting back to me. Be blessed and tight lines!
