What? I thought the reason to by lithium was two things, they are light and last FOREVER!
What brand as is it too small?
I power my Garmin Striker with a 15ah lithium. It only runs about 50- 60 hrs a year. I rechearge after every use and leave on the charger until it is used again. Why do I have to buy a new battery every year? Doesn't seem right to me. Any suggestions?

Please post the battery brand as requested by keeferfish.
I really don't like to publicly trash a specific brand but it is Amped Outdoors.

Have you contact them? Might be under warranty. I have the 30ah and never an issue. I don't leave on the charger though. Don't know if that would matter or not.
Well I have too much going on with my wifes health right now to go through the process of warranty stuff. I switched brands and the new one will be here tomorrow.
When the first one went bad I thought oh well it happens. The second time made me scratch my head.
Thanks guys

I’m also thinking about not leaving it on the charger. My lead acid gets recharged every time it comes home and it may stay on a day or two cuz I didn’t think about it, but then it gets unplugged. Power surges and lightning will take out a charger quick. My last set of TM batteries from Wally lasted me five years without issue. Something’s working right. 24 volt gone now and the batteries went with the boat. I’m looking forward to see how long this one battery for my terrova 55 lasts. Might have to go to two in parallel but so far I haven’t seen a drop in power, even after six hours of steady trolling.
I hope this one lasts better than the others. I hate gremlins.

Once the health situation gets better, take a minute to call them. I bet they make it good for you. Most Lithiums from reputable companies offer between 8-10 years warranty. I saw one recently that was 11.
silverside thanked you for this post
Some lithium battery manufacturers recommend that you take the batteries off the charger once charging is complete
