His response… priceless!
So I’ve always loved fishing, don’t get me wrong the goal is always to catch but I could fish all day, not catch and still enjoy my day fishing. I’ve been wondering if my son would stay interested in fishing if we didn’t start catching well today I got that exact answer…. Yesterday we fished a new area, battled the wind, snags and line tangles so today we hit a known spot and had the same wind, snags and line tangles! While heading towards the launch I looked at my son to tell him I was sorry we didn’t catch anything all weekend and he looked at me without hesitation and said it was a great weekend because he spent it with his daddy in the outdoors! I’m so proud of his positive attitude!
Thanks BigTat

Gotta love them children. Just when we think they don't care, they show us they do.
Catch all you can when you can!

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!bigtattoo79 thanked you for this post
I wish my grandsons had that attitude. Don't get me wrong they still go with me. They just aren't very patient when not catching.

My son and I have shared a boat every since he was old enough to go. Many good trips and many arguements along the way. He's 38 now and we don't fish together much anymore as he has a full time guide business. He made me feel so good today when he called me and said he wanted me to go bowhunting some good deer sign with him this week. He has many friends that I thought would get the call before me. He made me pretty proud today. So, Slabmaster, I know just what you mean.
