    i bought cried while he cussed I tell ya .....
    just funning with ya , I used to eat carp and other fish that folks think ain't edible as well , had a many a fried bullhead when I was a younger fella
    heck I tried EVEN a few goldfish one time , not kidding

    I'm sure it wasn't .... but, did you ever take a dare to eat a Gizzard Shad cooked over a campfire ?? I did, back when I was young & stoopid. Wasn't so bad from the taste point, but a mouth full of tiny bones stabbing you in the tongue & roof of the mouth was enough for me to spit that wad of misery about 6ft and sling the rest of the critter back out into the lake from whence it came.

    nope on shad , high in omega oils I bet ....
    goldfish had that white bass with it's red line intact flavor with a for sure distinct taste of mud on the after thought .....sure made my family say ok , let's not bring anymore of those home please .....
