    Default Motorguide W55 Transducer Mount

Hi folks, i'm trying to help a buddy out here... He has a Motorguide W55 trolling motor on his boat and is wanting to put a graph up front. The unit he is wanting to purchase has a transducer that is going to be too long to install using a giant hose ring. Is there a way to mount a transducer on this trolling motor off to the side?

Yeah, i was hoping NOT to hear that ... I know considering the age of the trolling motor that options are limited and we'll more than likely have to 'customize' something ... We'll see how it goes...

You can make a L shaped bracket with one leg the same shape as the barrel of the troller. Slot at the bottom and use the hose clamp. Mount the transducer to the other leg.

Yeah, we looked at it this weekend. Being that the skeg doesn't really offer any value, we thought we could mount an L bracket there and offset the ducer as needed. It's not mine, but just trying to help a buddy out. Either way, we should have some options. Thanks all!
