Default Ethical or not ethical is the question ?

it has recently been brought up that it is Un sportsman like to use bait to attract animals with the purpose of a harvest and so in better hopes of wrapping my lil brain around this subject and to better ensure a more "sportsman" like approach to harvesting fish and game for consumption .
I began to wonder this about that , maybe everyone should use a bare hook and or bare jighead to ketch the fish ,
baiting is baiting you know .....
now the only question I have left about this particular subject is ......does a painted jighead count as bait or not ....
    inquiring minds want to know....
on a side note ,,,,this may slow my ketch rate down considerably , just saying ....
slow to no KABOOM is the word ....
p.s. on a side note: this particular jig had a plastic on it and some super slick fish took it off and gave me back a bare jighead , probably trying to tell me how unfair it is was to use bait to ketch them is my thoughts ....just saying

Maybe they are against using makeup and such to catch a mate also!

If baiting is legal in your state, NO PROBLEM!

I actually have caught a fish on a bare jig. No doubt others have too. It wasn't intended that way of course but it happened when a plastic flew off during a cast and the fish hit the bare jig. Don't know what it was thinking.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

I use bare Black jigheads with shiners all the time, I really don't see a problem with it. We can go back to Spear Fishing for our food but with the funky waters here most of the time with no visibility I would resort to Road Kill for food or just starve.

As long as it doesn't result in over harvest it truly doesn't matter the method used to take said game as long as it will be consumed and not wasted. The snapping turtle with the wiggler on it's tongue is now not a ethical hunter /fisher? As far a feeding deer. Food plots and feeding do far more for the herd as a whole than the impact an ethical hunter has

I say as long as it’s legal where your at, fish and hunt how you want to and don’t care what opinions others have.

Differences between legal and fair chase? Might be culture, experience, age? State for sure.
