There are make medicines for this ya know….…. Great post.
my plate is stacked high with vittles and it difficult to ingest all of it at the same time
, hunting in the fall distracts me , my wife distracts me , my job distracts me , and the list goes on, but the good news is even without a chance to ketch fish ....
and nothing but 2 feet under me and a truck to drive , I am still chasing the dream
actually hit 2 locations on my lunch break yesterday , one was the long range under the bridge cast to em spot and the other about 15 minutes away was the dock I like to drop my jigs under .
2 things were rather apparent in my travels .....
white got bit best and .....
if it wasn't a jumpy presentation it wasn't get bit .....
the bite was better than the local reports would suggest for sure , but to be just as sure I don't pay much attention to they ain't biting anyway .....they are always biting ....
it is just a simple matter of finding the fish and getting them to think my jig is the real deal ...
under a float in the river and pitching the jig at the lake ....bouncing the float was the key in the river channel and keeping it swinging by was the ticket on the brush tops under water at the dock .
pay no attention to reports and moon phases and what worked last week and stay after them when possible , a wet jig gets way more bites than a dry one .....
KABOOM is the word
p.s. center btm image of the little black crappie off the dock was the best part of the travels , that little puppy hit my jig right on the surface at my feet !!

It's a KABOOM party!!! Lots of fun when you're the gunslinger outlaw. Good job, nice catches.

you got that right Outlaw, I pay zero attention to the moon phase is wrong or they arn't biting as they ARE ALWAYS biting. it's a matter of wetting a line or not that matters. Is why we whack them all year round.
right now fall bit is HOT yet so few are going. don't understand why.

Nice post and thanks for the walk along!
Bob
facts are facts my friend and to be very sure fish do not quit being fish due to whatever moon phase or the weather conditions might be and to be VERY sure don't care about social media and the possibly of this and that fishing reports either ....
our fall bite is in swing for sure , but it seems in many spots the water is very low and slowing down the access ....
stacking fish right now is for sure a possibility if you go out and play with them ....just saying

Very nice. Dad used to always say, “The best time to fish is when you can!” Kaboom is the word

Some of the biggest crappie that I have ever held where captured in weather conditions that were NOT made for being outside
2 fish in particular on 2 different lakes in drizzling to more rain and about 35 to 40 air temperatures…..both fish were absolutely giants for these parts and neither spot had much of a bite either .
Both times I had about 30 minutes or so to pitch my jig …..just saying
