There was guy here named Wallace, he wore out 2 knees fishing in the Jourdan river in a small boat. I hope your knee replacement goes well, God's speed on the recovery so you're up and fishing quickly.

Thanks Bob. Yep, it's only taken about 10 yrs 12 shots and countless referrals to physical therapy, 2 different ortho cancer specialists ( to tell them I do not have bone cancer), and twelve visits to ortho specialists to finally get an ortho surgeon. Find out tomorrow what she says...can't wait. Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers. It really helps.

Prayers sent. I had 2 total knee replacements 3 months apart in 2011. I wish I would have done it about 3 years earlier. They started talking shots every 3 months or so and I said heck no! Put 'em in!! Takes about a year to really get over the surgery. Work as hard as you can on the rehab part. This will determine how well you'll do the rest of your life with it. I didn't work on my first one as hard as I should have and I have trouble bending it enough to climb ladders or deer stands.

Prayers sent and Thank you for your service.

I’ve been doing lots of research because I need both of mine replaced. I’ve talked to many people that’s had a knee replacement and everyone tells me the same things get the knee as strong as possible before the surgery, eat healthy and stay hydrated before and after the surgery, strictly follow rehab instructions and don't do more then the doctor allows.

My wife has been going round and round with the VA for years with leg and shoulder issues that are service connected. They make everything such a runaround so bad that she just gives up. It’s really sad they don’t get their act together.

Tell your wife to hang in there. If she's dissatisfied with her current primary care Dr, she can go through the advocates office where she goes and request another Dr. That she's not satisfied with the one she's got.
And yes I've read up on the exercises to do myself as was suggested by others. I have already started on them. Thank you for that info too.

Her issues really are not that serious so it’s not a huge issue for her. She gets more frustrated thinking about the the people that have more serious issues and need quicker treatment.

My family will keep you in our prayers, please keep us updated on how things go for you moving forward.

    Thanks
