I've not used them, myself, but many of the guys around here used to use them for Pushing & Spider Rigging. And, yes, I have seen one particular person have/use a 20' rod ... but, unfortunately had it fully assembled and standing up in his boat when launching, only to have it snapped by a overhead wire.

Several companies make rods longer than 16' ... but, many of them seem to be the "telescoping" type (with or without guides), while many others are basically meant for Carp anglers (sectional & w/o guides).

I’ve heard some good things about BnM new Black Diamond rod. They offer two sizes a 16’ and 18’ both 3 pieces.

I tried them and didn't like them. Too heavy. Plus if you hook a 4 inch fish it feels like a 4 pounder. It is exciting for a little bit.

13.5' is the longest I've used but been looking at something longer. What type of fishing are you talking about?

I imagine unless in a holder, weight would be the biggest thing to look at. I've been thing about getting rid of my spinning reels to dump weight.

Something like this. Not sure why the link posted like this, it' s bass pro link?

Borrowed a 16' ACC crappie stix the other day and liked using in in timber where you didn't have to get as close and spook bigger fish. Flipped both of these in the boat with a no problem. I did switch from 20# braid to 15# flouracarbon to cut down on the line rapping around the tip.Name: IMG_20230901_094758771.jpg

lost a good one that I hesitated to swing due to not wanting to break my buds rod ...

When I switched to ACC Crappie Stix, Andy sent me 14’ and 16’ rods. I was leery of the 16’ due to all the stories I’d heard about bad experiences. After nearly a year, the only bad experience I’ve had with them was when a bone-head client tried to reel the tip to the center guide. It broken about 5 inches off the tip but every rod I’ve ever used would have done the same.

We have pulled c55 cranks with them as well as Bandit 350 Ledge cranks. We’ve ran 2 oz Tadpole diving weights with cranks behind. Longlined roadrunners up to 1/2 oz. Spider rigged. Pretty much everything we’ve tried. Clients can be tough on tackle!

I’ve seen 2 pound crappie swung to the boat. I’ve been very happy with them.
