Bass Pro shops have a huge sale on them the start of every spring. Walmart or Academy Sports is likely to be offering the best prices now.

I agree with others. When BPS or academy do their sales it’s amazing

I really like Lake Fork Tackle baby shad. Check em out! I love me some Bobby Garlands, but LFT is great also and 1/4 inch larger for them big ol gals

I agree with the apprentice, those lake fork tackle baits that look similar to the baby Shad was my go to for deep jigging in the winter, and they did find better sized fish. I have dozens of BGBS and probably need to restock myself but it’s trolling season here now and a curly tail is king.

For me I have tried several different versions of the baby shad including lake fork tackle and the bobby garland outperformed them all 99 to 1, but that is just my experience.

When I was using a lot of the "baby shad" shaped plastics, I had equal (if not better) results with Slabanator's Shad Body ... and they lasted a lot longer on the hook. Recently I've moved away from "baby shad" bodies in favor of the Slabanator's Devil Minner.

I have a big supply of both the Bobby Garland baby shad plastics and the Lake Fork baby shad baits. Since I now pour my own my favorite is the Yum Wooley Beavertail clone bait or the Berkley Power Nymph clone mold I have. Both are crappie killers.
