    Default Impressive fish !

this warmouth hit a really long jig today with gusto ....
pretty darn impressive for a wee fella ....
nothing but him hit it ,go figure .....
changed jigs ,water rose 12 inches and got turbid ....
7 to 8 fow and they for sure only bit it rising ever so stupid slowly ....
for the first time since may or so ,,,,the fish felt cool to the touch ...
the daylight is fading , the temperature is falling ....
crappie will start to stack up ....
its about go fall feeding it up time .....
I really like fall ketchn the best , fish are typically hungry and run larger than average in many spots . The chance to ketch a personal best might be the fall run and NOT the spring run ....you never know
keep your jigs in the water and your chances to ketch fish will go up ....
    KABOOM is the word

Warmouth are bad-to-the-bone little critters. I used to hate them when in my green carp days. They would attack plastic worms with fire tails and pull the tails off when you tried to set the hook on a strike.

We’ve caught a couple so far this year on Ky Lake that were over a pound.

LOL !!! .... yeah, back in my Bassin days I've sent more than a few of them rascals flying clear over the boat on the hookset, thinking a big 'ol Bass had just inhaled my Texas Rigged worm. Not sure which one of us was the most surprised

Have caught a couple two or three up there in size/weight, crankin a Rebel Deep Wee R in crawfish pattern down a rock shelf bank, back in the day. Not what I was after, so they got a look of admiration and then pardoned back to their "hood" to continue doing their thing.
