Default Question: are long posts acceptable?

On a few forums that I leave long posts - especially those that dispute what lures should be used and why IMO lures are attacked in the first place, some snide remarks as to the length of the post are posted. I've noticed many good long posts on crappie.com and read every word regardless of agreement or disagreement. But I've also noticed that the wise ***** don't post much or anything when it comes to catching fish and posting about rods and reels or other equipment used doesn't interest me.

    Is less better?

I thought if you were from the South there are no short conversations. Can't say up north.

My advise would be do as you please. I tend to believe that someone could be helped by your lengthy post. If what you are saying interests me then I will read every word. If it doesn't I am still happy that you took the time to share your experiences

I agree with Jack. I have a scroll wheel on the mouse if it doesn't interest me.

I like this forum due to the civil nature, other forums sometime not so much.

I say post what you want. Anyone posting a snide comment is most likely a 40-year-old adolescent and posting from their mom's basement.

When I see a post that several paragraphs, I'm probably not going to read it unless I'm really interested in the topic. But I'm just gonna close the post and move on. I don't feel the need to comment about it. If the post is too long, don't read it. Seems simple but some of these keyboard warriors don't have anything better to do.

Sometimes it’s hard to decide which details need to be told and which ones aren’t that important.
I try to stay as brief as possible, but sometimes get carried away with content.
    I say post away !

Post away! I'm not a big reader and if it's longer that I want to read I'll skim thru it or skip it which is not your problem.
