Default Once in a Blue Moon

They say that when it's like never gunna happen you know . So last night sure enough ,,,,,,FOR THE FIRST time since I have known my wife she was in FACT right about something ! 7:40 pm to be exact .....
Hit 3 water bodies in 24 hours , first stop was very slow with only one nice one before it was time to travel to spot 2 (fella there when i walked up said the day before was on FIRE ! of course ). Second stop was tough as nails too, but found a bite and managed to ketch about 20 or so ....
Third stop was on fire AND I only managed to hold 3 small crappie !
Got schooled HARD by them there river fisheez ....
biting every cast and hook up rate was about 1 for 20 ....
the bass angler that is always there was laughing it up at all my missed hook sets and it was somewhat frustrating to get so many takes and have nada on a hookset . Still not sure why it was such an ordeal , but in the end it was just one of those outings where I couldn't get dialed in ....
sometimes it just is what it is ....
    Nonetheless KABOOM is the word
p.s. fish were highly variable , hit water from 15 feet deep to 4 foot deep and managed the majority of them under a float , just jigs ...

3 stops in one day may lead upto more road time than wet line time, just sayin'. I think you could get a bite in a 2" deep mudpuddle. Nice fish sir. Thank you for the ride-along. KABOOM!!!

2 of the stops were doing visits to customers ,so them miles got paid for by work and one stop was within about 250 yards of my job , no worries .....its pretty tough to hit 3 spots in one day when you are actually at work at the same time ....busy busy ...

My opinion it’s 3 days of full moon. I have seen a ton of fish that will follow jig up on livescope to not bite for hours and hours over those three days. 3days before full moon and they bite like crazy, same with 3days after. This year alone I fished 8 full moons straight at night and would barely manage a couple fish each night. Last year was exact same results with walleye, white bass, hybrids too. Just my experience

Might be so , one full moon many years ago was the best night time gig ever , limited out fast at 11 pm and one of them was a lake record on that water body , can’t wrap my mind around why , but for sure that morning this week in the dark on my first stop the lake surface was as on fire as it gets with fish feeding and I only got one bite …
