    Default Super glue

Any of you fellows use super glue to glue bodies to your hook, if so how in the world do you keep the nozzle from clogging, I try to wipe it off, tap the bottle and few times to make sure there is no glue up in nozzle, then press bottle to make sure air is coming out. It seem to me just everytime I need to use it the thing is clogged.

Yeah they clog pretty easily. Almost a one time use then dispose. Harbor Freight has glue cheap.

I agree super Dave that’s what I use, but don’t like the one and done thing though.

I started using Super Glue in the little tubes, but ran into the same problem. Then I found this : Robot or human? and it does the job ... but, you can't leave it sit for months & months or it's gonna harden up and clog the nozzle.

I use the Loctite gel that CP referred to above, always store it up right. It lasts longer than the others I have tried.

Just take a knife and scrape the hardened stuff off the tip.
And you can also just trim the tip back a bit.
Mine last for quite awhile by doing that.
And yes the cheap stuff at Harbor Freight or Northern Tool works well for that.

I use a fly tying vise to wrap unwaxed dental floss around the hook shank. Then a little glue, then the plastic body.
I find that if you store the superglue tubes with the tip up , they are much less likely to clog.
I buy the multipaks of the small tubes.

I hadnt thought about storing them upright, but that is how i store them as well.
I use the small plastic containers prescriptions come in from the pharmacy, and store them next to the bottles of scent.

I’ve been using the gorilla glue super glue and been using it for 4+ months. It has a tip in the cap to prevent it from gluing shut

I never glue on my jig body , if you couple the right plastic with the right hook and get it on the hook right , you shouldn't need it either , just saying ....
