    Default Pflueger Parts?

Needing a dust cap (part #1448522) or 4 for a PRESSP25X, the current version of a Pflueger President 25. eReplacement parts doesn't list it. One vendor on eBay says they're out. Several places have other parts for them, but not the dust cover. From what little I've found on the subject, other reels aren't compatible, but haven't tried. Currently on hold waiting to speak to someone at Pure Fishing (parent conglomerate company).

I bought one off Ebay a month ago. Never did find a new replacement, I bought used/like new and it was $8.

Thanks. I'll keep combing. I can't understand how it's so hard to get parts for something that's still in production and on store shelves.

Try to contact somebody who sells used reels on Ebay.
They would as a rule have parts reels on hand.
There was a guy here in Vero Beach that i got to know who did that.
I found him as a result of Ebay.
He had a whole garage full of reels of all kinds in plastic tubs.
He repaired some, put handles on others, and some were actually new returned reels from places like Bass Pro.
I got a bunch from him, mostly by trading some of my old salt water stuff.
But the poor guy went and died, and his wife got rid of everything.
Hopefully he is in a happier place. lol

Our “good” reel shop down here won’t even talk about pflueger reels. Told me they’re disposable. Only ever wore one out and that took a lot of years to do. I like mine.

Yep, nothing wrong with it, they just take a fair bit of beating in the boat, and the dust cover (screw cap in handle on opposite side of reel from handle), came out and I can't find it, or replacements for it. Told the older generations aren't compatible.

I had an interesting talk with someone via Facebook Messenger through Pflueger and they told me to call their number during business hours. I told them that I had, and sat on hold for 37min waiting on a human. I also asked why i couldn't get the part online and they just kept telling me to call their number. Frustrating.

Any kind of a cap could work even if the threads arent correct.
Put a small pc of shrink wrap over it and it wont ever fall off again.
