Cool find. The Penn is a good r eel if it hasn’t been ignored. I’ve been told that there’s no such thing as an antique Penn reel. Every part for every Penn ever made is supposed to be still available.

The4200ss was missing the drag and the, what I would say was the anti reverse switch, does not disengage to run backwards and is called an eccentric switch so I’m not sure about that but I don’t fight fish that way but there is no connection to the dog there anyway unles something’s missing or broke that I don’t see any help?I just ordered the dtag parts

In the end I disconnected the AR for now and installed a HT100 drag with a new spring and washer so,all is good, I never use reverse to fight fish anyway.
