Hopefully they can get you scheduled and fixed up soon. Living with pain is not good for anyone.

Thank you Grumpa, Likewise as well. I have to quit the smokes cold turkey, as the Dr says 85% failure rating due to nicotine...Donno, but a blood test at first conference with Dr to confirm. Then surgery date set...Find out then.

I wish you the best with the knee replacement surgery. I had mine done April of 2022. There is no pain in the knee now.
Please do the pre-surgery exercises. It will make the recovery shorter and will make the joint more flexible.

I had both knees replaced in 2011. Best thing I ever did. I wish I would have done it 3 years earlier instead of trying to keep working on them.

My main problem has been dealing with the Veterans Administration. "Well, it looks like you have a little bit of artheritise, but it shouldn't be as painfull as your sayin'",. The frosting on the cake for me was a bit over 2 yrs ago my last,( I'm getting a new Primary now), Primary Care Physision sent me to a cancer specialist to evaluate what she said was bone cancer just above the left knee. It was not cancer but an endoama {probably miss spelled}, but this specialist was to do a 2yr study of it before the VA would do anything...every six months I took a 3hr drive for an x-ray and to hear...wait for it...it's not cancer...then drive back home. The kicker was 3 days before my last visit with the specialist, I had my annual visit with the primary... She walks in with her laptop, stops in the doorway, looks at my knee and says...wait for it....I sent you to see Dr. Rosenthall ,(the specialist) to get a knee replacement, why isn't it done...I lost it right there.

I had to explain he was just to evaluate it and see if it grew, moved or was dead...something that is in my file and she set-up...Finally got to an outside orthopedic specialist, looked at the MRI she, (the primary Dr.) had done over 2yrs before, and asked a couple of questions, felt on my knee, which the primary has never done, and refered me for surgery. I had , at the time of the MRI about 1/10th the cartlidge in my knee as is supossed to be there, and has been bone on bone for a long long time...Now to wait for the surgeon...
