Great story as always, and you weren’t kidding about the grasshoppers! Gotta love a fresh peach.

something in pink right now , dropped a solid body ARKIE tube in pink and white the other day in about 5 foot of water , of course just all blind and not knowing for sure what was down there in the that turbid HOT water and hoping I might ketch me a few fish .....
the bite was soft and slow and no other color worked that visit , go figure
picked a few peaches off a tree my friend owns and chased a few wild turkey in the truck on the way home ....
kept 20 fish for the less fortunate fish eaters out there and gave them up on ice the next day ....
not the most stellar of water visits , but beat not ketchn some for sure ....
KABOOM is the word
p.s. one bluegill smashed that bait color choice as well ....AND just how hot is hot in Texas you might ask , well HOT enough to make the grasshoppers line up in the shade HOT is the word ....
just saying
Great story as always, and you weren’t kidding about the grasshoppers! Gotta love a fresh peach.

Good looking peaches
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Good job and pics. Thanks for sharing another KABOOM adventure!
Pink has been a late summer transitional color here in the rivers, very interesting you writing about the color reception there. Cool post as usual.
