    Default Update on my Boat

Ok, back in Nov.-Dec I bought the Ebbtide Dyna-Trak that's my avatar. Then Cajunlady had to have heart surgery, and my knee stared acting up real bad. Conciquintly, it's been sitting in storage covered. Then I found out about the Camp Legune deal and contacted some Lawyers, as dad and family was stationed their in Govt. Base Housing back around 1960-1962 time frame.

Well, I lost both parents and a sister, to cancer as well as beating cancer twice myself. I filled cases on Mom, Dad and myself, and am awaiting the Dept of the Navy to do their part as far as the settlement goes.Any way, that said, that's where my funding, (hopefully) will be coming from. I'm taking the boat down to just below Ozark, Mo around the first to see what a rebuild cost will be. Cap off, wiring, plumbing, floation foam, everything. Any hull damage repaired, ( a couple dings in gelcoat from previous owner having judgement errors with docks). nothing serious, but still want it fixed. If it's not too bad, I'll look at a repower also, around 80-85hp.
I'm looking at this route instead of me doing it, as with my knee, It would be really bad clamoring around in, around and on/off the boat. Anyway that's where I'm at right now. Praying the Navy does something soon.

Good call on passing on the rebuild yourself. I think the worst part of my last project boat was glassing the cap back on around the inside of the Cockpit. I was on my knees for days, glassing then Fairing the seam. I understand why Bass Boat manufacturers run the carpet up over that area, too hard to Fair.
