That looks like Possum Kingdom lake. Haven't been there in years. When I went, drove through Mineral Wells to get there. I remember there was an old hotel there that was the place to stay back in the day long ago. Many celebrities stayed there. I was told that was the first hotel in Texas to have air conditioning. Is it still there?

I had to look it up - the Baker Hotel built in the '20's. Glenn Miller, Clark Gable, Judy Garland, The Three Stooge, Bonnie & Clyde, etc. stayed there. Legendary place - I likes such things.



I hope they bring it back to it's glory.

And btw skeet , we managed 3 channel cat that visit , might be a channel cat lake , saw lots of packs of roaming fish going across the bottom early that might have been channel cat

we kept one a bit bigger than a grocery store version to give away to my work crew , the make fish soup with them , Bagre is I think what they call them and soupa de pescado is a popular dish south of the border ...

Zero respect for the majestic Baker hotel. Too bad. That's why it's abandoned behind a chain link fence. I assume to be torn down soon. Folks drive around it to post what they did elsewhere. Catching fish and cooking - soupa de pescado is correct. Our history will be gone before long.
