Beautiful. Both the fish and the bluffs. I’d pay you some guidin money for a day to play with what lives there, but a day wouldn’t scratch the surface, I’m thinkin. Very nice fish and some tacos most excellent from them.

Thought you were talking about Whitney until I saw the pics. Never knew PK was a big bluegill lake but you proved otherwise. Nice outing and great pics.

Whitney was one of our targets for big bluegill , way back when it was sometimes difficult to ketch enough small ones for striper baits , it has some dandy bluegill, pk is or .....was ...a top secret location

10 inch gills are not rare in there , but to be sure 9 inch fat ones are really not unusual if you know where and when , they are not abundant all over the lake , just in a few locations and we sorta knew a few spots to look for them from YouTube folks that posted stuff we could recognize....

It’s a time thing , stay super busy all the time
We simply dredged them in an egg bath
Put em in our “special” blend bag of panko/cornmeal and spices
Dropped em in a small cast iron with a little canola oil
And use them there old El Paso stand up taco shell toasted under the broiler about 3 minutes
Our toppings list is long though ...
Purple cabbage and dark leaf lettuce
    Diced tomatoes and onion
    Sour cream and guacamole
    White cheese and salsa
A squeeze of lime over the top is optional
They are really super tasty for sure ....
