Default How do you store your rods when they are not on the boat?

It's not often that my long rods come off the boat, but when they do, I have no way to store them that is out of the way. Garage is not tall enough to store them vertically, and the walls are covered with racks for fishin' stuff, car stuff, paint, etc. I would like to see some pics of how some of you tackle this problem. Ceiling is a good option. Have any of you put rod racks on your garage door? How did that work out?

I just take mine apart, wrap the line around them to hold them and store with my other rods in the rack.

I use hooks on the ceiling of our detached garage over the boat. They are in plain view and easy to get to when needed.

I have some photos on here somewhere. My setup is basically the same as the photos above. I hang some on the wall and some in the ceiling. I do break my rods for spider-rigging down when not in use. I am getting better about how many I keep in the boat. I was bad about carrying too many until I made my racks.

I made a PVC rack that screws to the vertical wall but 1ft from the ceiling so I rest the rods across the PVC sticking out. In 1ft I have two rows for jig poles. I will post a picture when I take one.
