Wife doesn't eat it and won't allow it. That said, we really don't like frying anything "aromatic" indoors. Even bacon requires front and rear sliding doors to be open to create a breeze, even in winter. We both love a good batch of fried squash or okra, even that goes outdoors weather permitting.

It's really been great reading the opinions, practices, and downright firmness in their position on frying fish inside.....thanks for posting.

My wife does not want want fried fish smell in the house and doesn't usually eat fish. Consequently, I fry fish on my outdoor gas grill. I often use a small, lightweight aluminum loaf pan that you can pick up inexpensively at a grocery store. The size of the pan only allows you to fry about three fillets at one time, but clean up is a snap.
