Default Float -N- Fly Slip Floats

I have been making turkey feather 1/64th jigs today and I decided to also make some Float -N- Fly slip floats out of pool noodles. There is a video on my You Tube Channel that showed how to make them for about a nickel apiece. These are 2 inch slip floats and will float flies and jigs. I will put a 1/8 ounce egg sinker on the line to a tiny swivel. Attach a 2 pound leader from the swivel to the lure. Tie the lure on with a loop knot.

Anyway I wanted to show you what I was up to today.

S10 CHEVY, those floats are so much fun to make too. Three dollars worth of pool noodles from Dollar Tree will probably make you at least 200 floats. Cut each color one inch by 1/4 inch. Use a coat hanger to thread the HARD PLASTIC straw through the pool noodles. Glue together with a waterproof glue from Dollar Tree also. When the glue dries use scissors to shape and taper the float. Makes a great classroom, scout or church youth project for fundraising or just fishing.

That is great news. Show us your floats. So many students started fishing after they made their own floats. Parents were happy too because they no longer worried about getting a more expensive float out of a tree or a brush pile. Scout troops and classrooms love having inexpensive projects that are easy and hold a youth's attention. Have fun all.
