Default Quick Question for Braid Users

OK, I been trying braid for a little bit, Mostly only finding 10lb available locally. I'm wanting a lighter line, like down to a 4lb or six lb. My question is, is it available in a hi-vis, then where do they sell it. Low-vis Moss green is pretty hard to see a lot of times. Thank you for your time and help. Eric

I just starting using this at beginning of season. No issue so far. I too was looking for high viz and 6lb. It is beginning to fade a bit, but no worse then my 832

Thank you MDCrappie. The fade isn't the problem, as it might help some with the vision. I don't think the fade weakens the line any, just that low-vis green makes it pretty hard for my eyes to see while fishing. Even staring at the line looking for the tick of a bit, I'm struggling to see the line, which causes headaches and me leaving early...Thanks for the heads up on this line.

Fireline crystal is white and easy to see and has a pretty good personality. I’ve used it down to 3 lbs with good results. It’s also used for ic fishing and bead crafting so make sure of the length of what’s being offered.

Power Pro Slick 8 comes in a Moonshine color. Pretty easy to see. I have some K9 braid in a hot pink. It is easy to see as well.

K9 comes in hi vis colors in 5lb, it’s good line. I don’t use braid anymore but if I did it would be one of my top choices.

Just to be clear .... when you say 4lb or 6lb, are you relating to the pound test of the line or the mono diameter equivalence ??

I've used PowerPro 10/2 hi-vis for years and even on a 7' IM8 Bionic Blade rod I can sling a 1/16oz Road Runner a good distance beyond what my other casting rods can do. I started with the PowerPro 8/1 low-vis (8# test / 1lb mono diameter equiv.) and found it to be a bit tedious to deal with, mostly because of the diameter, but also the low-vis was hard for "me" to see ... and that was back when I was 100% a line watcher.

I’d check K9 out. I’ve been fishing braid on my dipping rods for 8-9 years now. Have tried a lot and K9 in white is my favorite. I don’t use anything under 10lb but believe it goes down to 5lb.

CP, I was refering to pound test. I can get the 6lb test here, but it's all Moss Green for anything below 60lb test.
