    That's why I said sandich the lid between two pieces of wood cut slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the bucket. it still allows the lid to clamp on bucket, but adds strength to the lid...Jus sayin'

    I wouldn't trust it. Even with reinforcing the lid the plastic will eventually break and it can also detach from the bucket, and the instability others have mentioned is a real issue. I understand wanting a swivel seat, maybe research something made from aluminum with legs that has a wide footprint. Prolly won't be convenient to carry though.

    Making progress. All parts are cut out. Going to Home depot tomorrow for nuts and bolts.

    Should be sometime today my friend. We will do our best. A lot of the chair/bucket combo is nuts, clamps and bolts from Home Depot. I already had the drill, saber saw and bucket. The camp chair I found at a flea market. I got a swivel from someone I knew had an old Jon boat. The idea for the project is all mine and the back aches you get fishing on the bank with no back support. LOL
