it really is about how it feels to me and not who has it name branded , some of the other name branded long rods just didn’t feel right to me . Now is it worth what they are asking……

You know a man can't have just one certain rod for everything or he wouldn't have anything to complain about spending money on.
Kind of puts me in mind of deer rifles.
I’ve got one that’s super practical.
Another that I love and think is beautiful and magic. And then several more just cause. No need for all, but all will do the job. A happy place I am in there.

at least it was nice 12 foot rod .....
handled quite well actually , wasn't near as bad as my mind was saying it would be before I picked it up .....
still don't like it much , but it was a nice tool for the situation at hand ....
AND STILL ain't buying one anytime soon is my native american name btw .....
it was a somebody er another version of a dobyns line up ....
not sure about ALL the other ones out there but to be sure of this ...
it was much better than 3 of the other big name fancy long rods I have used before on his boat ....
sensitivity and back bone and light as a feather are nice traits on a 12 footer .....
    just saying

Thinking yes , I asked him when I snatched the first fish with it , it really railed that shallow water crappie quite well and slung it smoothly in the boat and turned to him and said hey ….

Yep but it’s a terrific rod. It fishes a lot like the Huckabee Stryker you like(which I love too, Stryker is best rod on the market for the money IMO). But the Dobyn’s 12ft is fantastic if you can get over the price.

Thank you. I’ve been itching to ask if anyone had tried both of those, how they stacked up. I’m a diehard troller.
But I just put one of those devil boxes on my boat, haven’t even had it on the water yet. But afraid I may like it. Can imagine me getting enthused and wanting to specialize in live sonar, which might mean a different style boat. How’s that saying go, I’m never gonna financially recover from this?

I had trouble with mine going on fourth year. Said if this thing quits I will buy another one . Well figured out it was just corroded connections on power cords / fuses. But had already ordered a new 12'' screen, black box and transducer. I won't fish without it. Trying to decide if I want to run two units on my boat. Once you learn to use one, they change the game. Our AGFC says the livescope fishermen don't catch many more and don't keep anymore fish. I told them they are full of it. Need to talk to guys that know how to use them or just look a those results of Crappie tournaments. Livescope is addicting to fishermen as video games are to kids these days !

Yeah I think I got the wrong impression in the beginning. I was seeing people trolling around endlessly, looking at the screen, with rod across their knees and hook out of the water. I says to myself, ain’t gonna catch nothing with your jig 3 foot outta the water. But I know several who have got really good with it. I need to put some hours in and see if it’s for me or not.
