The little tiny peck it program

Is making the crappie ketchn program somewhat annoying ......
of course as you well know sometimes a little peck isn't a crappie .....
but then again sometimes it is this time of year ....
SO if it little tiny pecks it ....SET THE HOOK .....
hook sets are for free you know ....just saying ....

the crappie was a 12 incher , the bluegill was a speck .....they both bit EXACTLY the same way .....
make ya crazier than you already is for darn sure .....and setting the hook like a pro bass fisher person too .....

I agree, hook sets are free! I'd rather catch those little ones than a skunk any day.

Hook sets are free and also unlimited. Glad you are having fun. Teach the little Crappie to bite your hook then next time they are a minnow crook. Then you catch and clean them man so they are ready for the frying pan.

Told the story about fishing down at Watts Bar Res. in East Tenn, many years back, where I was getting little tiny bumps .... kinda felt like I was dragging my jig down a concrete sidewalk, not in open water. Several times I did see Shad running along behind the jig, and knowing that there are "Tenn Tarpon" in those waters I figured they were just bumping into or possibly nipping at the jig. Well sir, after about 10 or so retrieves with all this nonsense going on I was just about to move to another location, but I got kinda P.O.'d about the whole situation & set the hook ... basically out of frustration. I think I was more surprised than the Crappie I hooked, when I did finally jerk the rod.
Seems that, all along, it was 12-15" Crappie doing all that "nipping" ... and to be sure I laid the hammer down on "any" unnormal feeling after that !!

Was fretting the 500 total for this month just today …..
seems I am stalling out , got to ketch over 50 more in the next 2 days and …..
It ain’t looking good
