I can't see it either but catch a ton of fish with it so all my rods are tied in the shop before leaving out. So not just the fine line becomes a problem but my fingers are rough so while trying to tie a break-off back on in the boat with the wind blowing, the line sticking to my fingers, and visibility issues it's frustrating to get a knot tied. But I catch a Ton of Crappie on it, not the worst thing to put up with in Life.

I can’t expand on what Alphahawk said. Most of my reels now carry a Varivas line and most of it braid. Yes it has a different personality but not anything I can’t deal with, and I have many of the same issues already spoken of. Fact is that it’s smaller and casts better and is stronger for it size than any I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a bunch of em. There’s a few domestic that will do but I haven’t found anything that compares with the Varivas. Price is a point but I replace it so rarely that it’s not an issue in my opinion.
