    So couple of ?’s. What are you planning on using it for mapping, imaging or both? Do you have a budget in mind?

    They make some that you can attach to a rod and cast out. It transmits the information back to your smartphone or tablet. They are equivalent to down imaging. I use Navionics to precise if you will. It gives you depth/ contour lines. I mostly shoot docks. I use the app to find docks that are close to deeper water / channels to help me find docks that can potentially hold fish. It does not give real time info but it certhelps when scouting new water

    Around 25 a year if memory serves me right. It should have read pre- scout above instead of precise. Google earth is another good tool. You can see a little ways down into the water. You can see points and such. I can also see what the docks look like on the lake

    probably best to buy a local fellas old unit with all the stuff in it , with the LS craze , lots of great graphs out there loaded plum full of waypoints and lake maps and the on and on are on the table for sale .....just saying
