I figure I’ll catch some disapproval over this, but oh well.
I’m just a little skeptical myself, but as more time goes by -
I usually fish in silence till I look in the box and think “that’s enough for a cooking” at which point I’ll dig into the junk food and turn on the tunes.
And you know what? I often catch just as many or more afterwards.
Maybe it’s psychological warfare - the fish think I’m a ski boat and no threat.

I listen to music most of the time I fish, no matter how I'm fishing. However, it's not loud enough for most anyone else to hear it. I've done good and bad with and without music. And when you are pulling cranks, they are typically so far behind, I doubt it matters. My 2 cents worth!

Yeah, I try to keep it just loud enough so I can comfortably hear it. And if were to move and go into an area other people are fishing, I would most likely pause it. That reminds me though, years ago, if some folks came in close, aggressive, crowding me - I kept a home burnt cd of White Zombie and such just for them lol
At that point fish biting didn’t matter.

I don't personally, I just enjoy the piece and quite. Don't mind if others play a little tunes within reason. Other than that God awful cRAp music. That's usually your drunken 20 something's though. Would need some kind of impairment to think x rated nursery rhymes were music! How far we've devolved music wise is beyond me. They had it figured out in the 60s and 70s even into the 80s. Then just went downhill from there.

Today when trolling crankbaits I was listening to a podcast. Somedays it's music. Somedays I'm listening to nature.

When pulling crankbaits, I listen to music on earbuds sometimes, also listen to college football in the Fall.

No need to have music on my boat. When one of those wake boats go by you can hear there music from all over the lake. Not any music I like listening to though.
