    Default not much today

Well I started out at sunrise. water temp 78 degrees and a bit muddy. Wind picked up early and the fun time folk did also. managed one little gill all day. hooked something big but it seems jig hook eyes are not made to be fully closed anymore. Pulled hard and a big shake and it took the jig and left me with a loop. . Tried several spots that produced in the past but was not my day. Docks, open water flats, nothing for me but my little friend.

Them big ol Tennessee River cats can't resist a little crappie jig. Heck of a fight on crappie gear.

    I agree my friend.
I need to find a quiet place to fish. Fishing on the wave roller coaster is just not working

I am thinking all the commotion on the surface may be driving the feeshes to places I can't fish. Plus, it is just not comfortable for an old feller like me. . A quiet cove full of crappie is all I ask!

They are certainly a blast. I have pull many a hook trying to horse them around to keep them out of a lay down. Had one last year tangle all 8 of my planer boards. That wasn't much fun
