    Canning is real popular too. Red horse are the bigger ones, white suckers are preferred for table fare. Good fighting, easy, laid back fishing, usually.

    Not sure if we had the white ones , but as i recall no one ate the red horse version and about only me tried to ketch them
    That and American eels too , about only me trying to ketch them too …

    All the eels I ever caught were really by mistake. Talk about tangling up your line!

    My dad used to ear some of the saltwater eels he caught and said they were very good.

    the american eel is a european eel best i know , they spend a long time at sea before running up the rivers here and vice versa across the big pond too ...
