Saturday story time

Well neighbors, Yesterday (Saturday) I started the day early. A nice quiet morning with a thin layer of fog rising off simi-smooth water.
water surface temp 78. winds light and variable. Air temp around 60. This in itself was enough to make the day on the water successful .
Getting out before the party folk is a pleasant thing. With plans to inspect a new area I started out, but passing a spot that produced was not something I could do. But even with patiently working the are with various colors and shapes I had not visitors. Well except an otter that was upset I was trying to get his fish lol.

As I resumed my scouting trip I approached A bridge that is a crappie hot spot at time. I had the idea of trying something I am not familiar with and to troll a crank bait behind me. going about 1 mph I put the rod in the never used before, rod holder. As I was wondering if I would actually know I hooked something the rod bent and started the dance. For my first-time trolling a crank bait I was rewarded with a lm bass dink.

I made it to my new hunting area and after hitting a few docks and downfalls I found a dock with a few visitors. 3 b\LM bass, crappie, and a white bass. all on a Bobby Garland monkey milk baby shad.

a fiver day before it was too hat and busy on the lake.

Ride back was a lot rougher than the ride there

Have fun and enjoyment being on the water is first . Loading boat with fish is a bonus .
