    Default cornfield crappie

have done business with them for a while now. always thought they were as good as they come till today. i bought a live view live scope mount for my terrova a while back and its not working out the way i hoped. i called to see if they could sell me just the bottom bracket of the cable saver mount so i could just mount it to the barrel of the tm. NOPE told me i had to by the whole kit. just spent 400 dollors now they want me to spent another 189 for just the bottom bracket which is the only difference in the two items. very dissapointed.

I've tryed doing what you are wanting to do it won't stow correctly and the hose for liveview and cable saver is different size they pretty much saved you the headache. What problems are you having I've had one for over 4 years works flawlessly

    Hey Murdock
This is Mark the owner of cornfield fishing gear.
I remember the customer service team coming to me and asking about your issue.
You bought a panoptix mount. That’s the mount for any live view transducer to a trolling motor.
You are not wanting to use the lower clamp with the pipe for mounting the transducer on and mount the transducer to the trolling motor barrel instead. That’s not how I designed it to work. In the beginning we had the only mount Garmin told me to keep the transducer up6-8” from the trolling motor barrel to eliminate any interference.
So you ask for a cable saver lower clamp to hold the cable protector.
Problem is you are trying to mix two products that look the same but they are different.
The cable saver clamp will fit the trolling motor shaft but is shorter than a panoptix lower clamp and pipe. So that’s going to cause your coiled hose that protects the cable to get caught up with the shaft when it turns and get into the lock when you stow it.And most of all it will not work with the panoptix hose because the hose is much larger than the cable saver hose.
I denied your request because it will not work. Which was explained in an email from the customer service department.
I am sorry you fell upset but what you want to do won’t work.
I can’t in good faith sell a customer parts or product that won’t work.
I really don’t want my products Jerry rigged either. someone who see it would think that’s how we make it.
We at CFG pride ourselves on building top quality products and being leaders in the industry with new out of the box products. And we would never try to sell a customer a product or parts that will not work for them just to make a dollar.Thats not how I started this business and it’s not how we will run this business.

I have mounted a couple with the cable saver and they worked great with the transducer on the bottom.
