Default Yay, I got to go fishing today

Yah, how about that ya'all. I finally got away from the honey do's for a bit, though short lived. I went to a state park marina I've never been to before. they charge a minimal fee of $2 but it beats beating the brush on the bank. The marina docks are covered and the shade was about 10* cooler than no shade for sure. Forgot the tackle box I wanted to take next to the front door, so that started it. got a later start than I wanted but I left town about 8:40 am and got there about 10:00. No minnows, no worms but scavenged around and found some old gulp minnows and a bottle of slab sauce. Let me tell you what, I know it works. Had to fight off a thousand gill mostly around 3-4", to get to the crappie, but managed a couple after figuring out their depth. Had to boogie back to town to get some papers notarized, but really enjoyed my time out. Looking to go back on Monday after the majority of week-end warriors go back to work. I'll post up a couple pic's in a bit.

Glad you enjoyed your time on the water. Especially having a shade to fish in helped.

Have fun & good fishing. Put that tacklebox someplace where you can't leave it behind.
