I've never lost two anchors in the same year but I guess there's a always a second time for everything.

    What should I buy?

Buy braided nylon rope and not the cheap stuff . Worth paying extra for good rope if your losing anchors .

I've never had that happen. What kind of line are/was you using?

I agree. The line you're using has to be the issue. Go someplace that sells the kind of line climbers use. They have a certain amount of give for when someone falls. They come in various line diameters and you can buy them by the foot. Doesn't have to cost a fortune but they aren't cheap either.

Good line is hard to beat. Also needs to be checked for wear and replaced before it fails

I've lost two in a year. One I lost in a brush pile(had to cut the line) the other I don't have a clue.

I have 2 grapple anchors (home made) but my rope is tied to one of the grapples on the bottom of the anchor. Then the rope is attached to the top of the anchor at the eyebolt with some strong zip ties. If my anchor hangs and I cannot pull it up the boat will break the zip ties and the anchor will be pulled up from the bottom of the anchor. Make sense?!? I lost a few anchors over the years too before I rigged them this way.

The one that got caught in a brush pile and you cut the line isn't lost. You know where it is.

That's where I went wrong with both lost anchors. I found a thick rope that will not fail anytime soon. I had a hard time cutting it to the length I need. Now it's just a matter of attaching it. BTW. it's a fluke anchor. Mushroom anchors don't cut it on smooth bottoms and a wind speed over 20 mph.
