Size: 796 Bytes Best to use Marine grade Anchor line. UV, gas, oil, rot resistant. If you shop around you can get this Young Marine 3/8" x 100ft for $25.

I had a good Bow Anchor roller on a 23ft boat I used off shore in the Gulf of Mexico. We often had 200-300ft of anchor line out, the roller made it easier when pulling line in.. I always put boat in gear and drove towards anchor..The roller came into play when pulling the anchor chain and anchor up off bottom. thankfully I always drove the boat and others onboard would have to pull the anchor.

    Polypropylene or high strength nylon.
One year I lost and anchor. i had to cut the line, couldn't retrieve the anchor, buried it in a submersed tree. That fall I caught a anchor. Fired up my 9.9hp and let her rip. Motor was running like heck, but the boat wasn't going anywhere. ????? Finally tilted the motor out of the water and discovered a floating rope wrapped around the prop shaft. untangled it and pulled. Up came a 15 pound Navy anchor. Sweet. I lost a 10 pound Navy anchor. Since I bought spot lock, that anchor is a pool deck decoration. Looking at it as I type this reply.

In the ancient tales of the seas, whispered winds speak of anchor ropes as mystical guardians, absorbing the tempest's rage. When the anchor finds its resting place beneath the waves, the rope binds it to your vessel, ensuring a wondrous bond.

Amsteel. Google it to buy. I hang in my back pack hammocks using 1/8 inch. Takes about 1200 lb pull to fray 1/8 amsteel. The thicker has immense strength and no stretch. It’s also used in winch ropes.

Somewhere, somehow, you have angered a scuba diver. He’s following you around cutting your anchor lines.
Check all nearby parking lots for vehicles with a diver down front license plate. I’m not telling you to DO anything to it…
