Default Cure for deformed baits from improper storage

Ever have the body, tail or both deformed by laying bent up in the tackle box? I got tired of it happening most of the time especially when it's hot out. So, my solution is simple: use a plastic snack-size bag to store them making sure they are in their original shape in the bag. The zip lock bag can be stored in the tackle box and no lure will ever be deformed. I write labels for the columns the bags are stored in and tape them to the lid also in bags.

Another option is to store the lures between layers of thin foam, but I've found the bags work better.

But if you do that you won't have any excuse to buy new plastic baits.

Good way to store them. I don't pour my own so I usually keep them in original packages. I have a long boxes that I store them in. Inside that I have the baits by size, color, and brand filed together. These boxes fit the storage on my Nitro like a glove. Back some time ago someone posted on here an awesome system, where the bags were hanging on the inside of storage lids on their boat. I will try to find it.

You could hang any type of bag like this to keep your baits from deforming.

One thing I just thought of that may work to bring back the original shape: put lures in boiling water for 30 seconds, lay them out straight and let cool. (Note: not advisable to grab them out the pot with bare hands.)
Seems to have worked in the past for plastic worms - if bad memory (doesn't) serve me. LOL
