Diawa makes some great reels
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Here is a great deal on the Ceymar. Specials | Okuma Fishing Tackle Corp
I like 5-1 reels. The Shimano Sedona at their price range works for me. I use the 1000 and 2500 Series
I like my Daiwa regals
Daiwa makes great reels and the Legalis is a good one. I have had the 1000 size for U/L fishing for two years now and it is very smooth and a great drag for the price.

One of the first things fishing with LiveScope taught me, I was reeling Waaaay to fast!! Sitting 30’ off a 10’ top in 25’ water, using 1/16oz jig with 4lb mono; you have to reel lots slower than most people realize. When you do start reeling, the jig is gonna rise cause the mono is higher. I like the slower ratio reels cause of this. As I hav said before LS is a great Teacher if you will pay attention

Might consider the new reel I got off Amazon , look at the specs and try one for 18 bucks
It is built way better than most of the 50 to 100 dollar range stuff
I bought 2 more after I tried one …never heard of it before, but to be sure well worth the bucks
Sides all that it’s really pretty as well and the drag is just a dream come true .
