Do I fish alone? Yes. Do I like it? No.

I've enjoyed the company in the past fishing with great guys that were fun to hang out with. Plus, more lures cast - more chances of finding fish.

But nowadays with all of my past partners moved to other states, there isn't anyone I've found to fish with vs going solo. This one guy I took fishing with last year only wanted to see my spots proven by his never inviting me to fish from his boat. The only time I heard from him was to tell me how he did minus locations besides voicemails asking how I did after seeing my truck near the lake. I won't answer or return his calls.

Now it's just me, my pipe, MP3 music and peace & quiet waiting for tugs and the adrenaline rush when a big fish gets hooked.

I love to fish alone because I fish SLOW trying to figure out the pattern (if any) for the day. This could drive many of my friends crazy!!😆

I fish alone 99% of the time.

I used to fish alone almost daily. I would bring others, but they had better not be late or slow me down, or I was gone.

Now, I live far from my favorite fishing grounds. A 2-1/2 hour drive. I don't like making that run alone like I used to.

I guess I've become more social in my latter years.

    .
not necessarily, older age causes you to worry about something going wrong and not being able to handle it by yourself anymore.

I am semi retired and my wife works full time. I fish alone most of the time, I am very safety conscious. I do not get in a hurry and think things thru. I enjoy fishing with other people as well. My grandkids are getting to the age where they may want to go with me and I am looking forward to that. I find fishing alone really improves my skills and allows me to learn the electronics.
