Default Unorthodox means and methods time

So in this episode of how to ketch big crappie without the use of today's fancy gadgets, I shall tell the tale of the jig it like ya mean it program.
Walked up on my lunch break and the water was rather calm inside the dock area, a great blue heron was standing in my bestest spot and eyeing the edge of the walkway .....
My ketch sense told me he is looking for a meal and since there were some sort of baitfish along the edges of said dock a few days prior , I started dipping a jig in the first slip as he flew off squawking .....
First bite was pretty hard and missed it with a sharp flick of the wrist and as the jig fell back down a couple a feet another take and missed it AGAIN ....
Thought WOW with that jig a jumping like that a second bite that fast ?....hmmmm
Proceeded to just whip the jig with fast flicks of my rod tip and as soon as I stopped said flickering ...you guessed it .....KABOOM ! A nice 15 inch crappie !
Managed another crappie right off the bat in similar fashion ,a sharp flick or 2 and then slowly started to fade on my ketch rate and bites ......
Well desperation set it and I changed jigs from pink and lime chart to gold and pink with sparkles as I was pretty darn sure there were more crappie under me and thought when all else fails go outside the rule box ......
Started flicking the water with my rod tip and making little splashes just like the bait fish did the other day and then followed it up with fast as heck flickering and jerking around my jig and more often than not ....
The second or 2 after the jig stopped and the line got tight ....KABOOM !
Does something so unorthodox work often you might ask ? Nope is the answer , but then again what ya got to lose if you ain't slinging dem fisheez right?
There are some videos of the EXACT presentation floating around on Fakebook if you are so inclined to view them , Crappie.com has them as well as my pages ....
The one thing to keep in mind is this , predators have triggers and some things will trigger them to go into attack mode , some of things are often things folks would not think are in the program . never say never my friends and for sure ...
KABOOM is the word if your last fish of the lunch break is big ole 17 incher ....
dat my friends was some serious business on my little jig and light tackle for sure sure ....
8 fow using my gold Slager rendition on 6 lb blue stren with a 6 foot red vigilante and a fat pinkish sparkly plastic body on it .....
they hit it like they had a hammer in them crappie hands as well ....
the first fish and the last fish of the visit images if you please ...and ....
no doubt KABOOM is the word

Wow. Really nice crappie there. There's no such thing as unorthodox. If what yer doing ain't working do something else.
