Default RAIN and muddy water syndrome

Sometimes it will flat out ruin a good pattern, rising water levels and loss of clarity, barometer going bananas and temperature dropping like rock, can sure enough jack up a solid fish ketchn pattern.
Case in point , rained like heck most of the day Wednesday, cold front and north wind blew in with it, likely ruined the spring prom festival is the typical case ....
    OR so they say .....
Thought oh well what the heck, might as well just drop in and pitch it some, first drop with ORANGE/ORANGE and KABOOM .....LOST MY VERY FIRST BIG FISH of the year .....!
Now mind you this ,she was all kinds of agitated and in a super tight in-between a bulkhead and a big house boat situation and I am sure as there is a sky above because my rod was too whimpy and ONLY had on a NUMBER 6 sickle hook jig head !
So onward I went for an hour whipping fish and getting whipped in return, got broke off 3 TIMES and one was super big male fish all in the air losing his mind, with me going please calm down and let me hold ya ....
ONLY took 4 jigs and 1 float because I was pretty sure I wasn't gunna get bit
Spent a fair amount of valuable time "fishing" my only float out of the soup water and gave some fish to a fella who was next to the marina in a boat and not doing so well, he was nice though and when I left his livewell was in much better shape, he sure could ketch a fish out of the air with his huge landing net quite well ....thats a fact !
Donned an orange jacket and an orange jig combo for this episode and this .....
used pink and also black and chart as I only had the one orange plastic with me , they bit the other colors well too, it was mostly about visibility and where you pitched said offering and how you "twitched" it too ....
They QUIT at 1 pm sharp ...no clue why, but at 12 noon it was on FIRE and at one they was done ....prolly knew I had to get back to work is my guess ...
KABOOM will remain the word until further notice ....just saying
p.s. did my crappie.com ballcap bring me luck you might ask? Seems so according to the preliminary investigations to me ...

Been having a lot of this weather pattern around here also, but for me not always the same luck that you had though.

years ago folks often said I was just lucky , I always said that my luck is typically attributed to my preparations to get lucky , planned lucky beats accidental lucky all day long my friend
