    Default Reels for livescope

What kind of reels do you fellows use on your long rods for livescope, I first started with baitcasters but today I fished with a spinning outfit, I was amazed by the difference between them. I mostly always use a baitcasters for vertical trolling, so I grabbed one of those rods and I have been using it for livescoping, not any more.

All my panfish hunting is done with spinning reels - and about 1/3 of my bass hunting as well.
Hunting them down to broil them up.

I’ve used trigger spins but line twist was horrible, spinning reels were better. I settled on ice fishing reels, still not completely happy. lol

The quantum optix from academy in size 20 is a great reel. For less than $25.

Spinning reels pitch quicker with less chance of problems. I always use spinners.
