Looks like that squirrel is just starting to run. May have gotten a head start on that kitty
a crappie in the brush pile
a minnow eating nearby
the crappie slips up, stalking the prey item very slowly using its camo and the cover to close in ,
the baitfish is just happily eating and then ....
K A B OOO M .....
this image is off one of our trail cams at our place out in the country and illustrates the same scenario on dry land , the cat is much like the crappie and the squirrel is the baitfish .....
the camera was only quick enough to capture this one image , but it looks pretty clear to me that we are minus one fat fox squirrel on our place as I type this ....
I think you are right.
Maybe 1 less tree rat!

had one attach itself to my big mean ole Rhodesian male ridgeback's face one time when he over ran it and grabbed it out of the middle of the road one fine summer day in the country , ole Rusty wasn't a bright candle but he was SUPER tough as nails and he sure enough made us about cry laughing as he did flips and such trying to remove said squirrel from his face ,,,,,,
