The Last Ride ....

Jamesdean asked me the other day about some jigs he made for me .....
told him long gone were they ,but they did hammer fish well ....so ....I
was fixing up my kids rod after she got hammered by something big that took my ONE and only weighted thill pencil float and jig off her rod after a quick hard fight
to spots unknown .....
in my exploration I found this poor old fella ,previously used to beat the band it seems , no hat on it's head anymore , but looks to be ready to go swimming yet again and somehow it got back in the jig box .....

rarely target crappie in moving water is me , but to be sure the areas with the least current would be where I would start first , seems when the water is moving and they are there , they like to sit right behind a current break ....
we find them behind bridge columns on the down current side and laydowns as well if there is a current present and sometimes behind big rocks and or jetty type structures too ....
