Default Power Trolling while Long Line Trolling ?

So I'm looking at adding 2 power trolling rods to my long line set up. I long line out the back of the boat and I'm looking at adding 2 18ft B&M power troller rods to each side of the boat with 2-3 ounce weights above double jig heads / roadrunners. Anyone ever done this ? It wont really be considered pushing because it will be a down rod running off the side of the boat. Just wondering if its worth the extra money to add the 2 longer rods to my existing long line rods ?

I’ve had moderate success with that technique. It seems to shine more for me when the crappies are down toward the bottom. Landing them is a little tougher as there was no tiring of the fish when winding in…

good to add those when the catching is slow

I use a similar set up and the 2 extras always snag a few

If you dreamt it, you should do it.

I use this technique and some days it beats long lining. You can gain depth control very easily.
Maybe they will bite this one……

Sounds like a plan- just steer clear of any brush!
